North Africa International Model United Nations Conference Report 2014 edition Our thanks and appreciations goes to the President of the University cadi ayyad Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui and his staffs, the dean of the Faculty of letters and humanity, Grand atlas CGEM, professors at the faculty of Letters and humanity, Model united nations partners, our beloved delegates and friends who helped us in making this event a success. From the 26th to the 28th of September, 250 Young people from 25 different countries gathered in Marrakech Morocco at the Faculty Of Letters and humanity with the spirit of peace and harmony to debate and find solutions to pressing global issues. The official team of the conference was Human Development , Education and Industry in Africa, which relationship? This theme was chooses by our Faculty Advisor Professor Abdellah Elhaloui with reference to King Mohammed VI. The conference was divided into 3 parts which are: Speakers interventions, Debate session and workshop session. Our Speakers during the conference were: Dr. Elyahyaoui Abdelaziz, Dr. Abdellah Elhaloui, Dr. Ait Hissou Mohammed, Dr Hassan Mojahid and Dr. Mostapha Souliti.The opening ceremony began with remarks from The dean of the faculty of letters and humanity Marrakech, the Vice President of the University Cadi Aayad, Respresentative from the Grand Atlas, Representative from CGEM and some high ranking professors at the university. We also have media teams from different National radio stations including an international radio and TV station from Egypt. We had several radios and TV interviews during and after the event. Our committees and topics during the conference were: General Assembly First Committee: Economic Commission for Africa Topic:Improving Youth’s Access to Education and Employment Opportunities General Assembly Second Committee: Legal Committee Topic: Multinational Corporations Responsibility General Assembly Third Committee: Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Affairs Committee Topic: Legitimacy of Government’s Espionage General Assembly Fourth Committee: Special Political and Decolonization Committee Topic: Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian territory and Assistance to Palestinian Refugees General Assembly Fifth Committee: The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Topic:Promoting Economic and Social Prosperity in Post Conflict Countries. In as much as the 3 days were very busy, participants were assure by there evening dinners and activities. NAIMUN 2014 was a successful, enjoyable, and unforgettable experience which showcase the smartness of many young people and their roles in making this world a better place.
