يعتزم فريق التحرير تغيير اسم زر “حفظ الصفحة” إلى “نشر الصفحة” و“نشر التغييرات”. سوف يستخدم زر “نشر الصفحة” حينما تنشئ صفحة جديدة. أما زر “نشر التغييرات” سوف يستخدم حينما تعدل صفحة قائمة. وستظل أسماء الأزرار واحدة في كافة واجهات التحرير.[1][2]
قد يسري هذا التغيير أثناء الأسبوع الذي يقع فيه يوم 30 أغسطس/آب 2016. كما سيعلن عن هذا التغيير في الأخبار التقنية حينما يسري.
لو كنت مجيدا للغة بخلاف اللغة الإنجليزية، يرجى التحقق من حالة الترجمات على موقع translatewiki.net وذلك فيما يخص كلا من “نشر الصفحة” و“نشر التغييرات”.
الغرض الرئيسي لهذا التغيير هو تجنب حدوث الارتباك للمحررين الجدد. حيث أبرزت دراسات بحثية متكررة أجريت على المستخدمين والتي ركزت على المحررين الجدد أن بعض من المحررين الجدد يظنون أن “حفظ الصفحة” قد يحفظ نسخة خاصة من الصفحة الجديدة على حساباتهم، وليس نشر تغييراتهم بشكل مستديم على الشبكة. من الأهمية بمكان أن يكون هذا الجانب من واجهة المستخدم واضحا، منذ أنه من الصعب إزالة المعلومات العامة بعد نشرها. نرى أن الارتباك الناتج عن زر “حفظ الصفحة” يزيد من عبء العمل المطلوب من المحررين ذوي الخبرة والذين يتعين عليهم إزالة المعلومات التي يفصح عن الأفراد دون قصد وكذلك إبلاغ ذوي الشأن والمضيفين عنها كي تزال. وبالتالي سوف يقلل توضيح ما هي وظيفة الزر من مستوى هذه المشكلة.
خلاف ذلك، الهدف المقصود هو جعل كافة مواقع الويكي ولغاتها متسقة، كما أن بعض مواقع الويكي قد تبنت هذا التغيير منذ سنوات عدة. كما أن الفريق القانوني التابع لمؤسسة ويكيميديا يساند هذا التغيير. حيث سوف يسهل تيسير واجهة التحرير التعامل مع أمور التراخيص والخصوصية التي قد تحدث.
كما سيتعين تحديث صفحات المساعدة أو المستندات الأساسية التي تتعلق بكيفية تحرير الصفحات سواء كانت على مواقع الويكي أو في أي موقع آخر. يمكنكم على صفحات مواقع الويكي استخدام أكواد الويكي {{int:Publishpage}} و{{int:Publishchanges}} لعرض المسميات الجديدة باللغة المفضلة للمستخدم. وبالنسبة لإعدادات اللغة الموجودة على حسابك، أكواد الويكي هذه تعرض “نشر الصفحة” و“نشر التغييرات”.
