Hello, and sorry for not posting in Arabic.

I'm currently doing a quick survey about Wikipedia communities and social media. It would be awesome if someone can provide me answers for these questions.

1. Does Arabic Wikipedia has an official Facebook Fan Page? If not, is there any unofficial Facebook Page or Group? (official here means community acknowledged)
2. If there is such page, how many people became admin (manager, content creator, etc.) in that Page? How long has it existed?
3. Does Arabic Wikipedia has an official Twitter handle?
4. If yes, how many people have access to that handle? And how long has it existed?
5. Does Arabic Wikipedia has any other social media presence (official or unofficial), such as G+, Identi.ca, etc.

Hi Bennylin, here is what you asked:

1. There is a large Arabic Wikipedia page on facebook, however, it is not managed by any Wikipedians, and actually, its content is unrelated to Wikipedia at all. Still, we have a smaller page (named add to humanity, add to Wikipedia) managed by some active Wikipedians, and a very active group with most Wikipedians participating in it.
2. As I know, there is 2-3 admins for the facebook page, and 6 in the group. They both have existed for about one year, as they were mainly inspired by a social networks' advertisement for Arabic Wikipedia 8th day.
3. According to your definition of 'official', we have an official non-active twitter account, and there is a plenty of other accounts managed by non-Wikipedians. We have, as well, another 'official account' for Wikinews, which publishes automatically all new pages on Arabic Wikinews.
4. Not sure of both.
5. I don't know about any.

I am sure, actually. It seems that they have started it with a good faith, but then they misused it, they states the following in their description page: "Important note: This page is unofficial, and it is not linked with the well-known encyclopedia of Wikipedia" --عباد (نقاش) 02:11، 18 يونيو 2013 (ت ع م).

تحية طيبة للجميع، قمت قبل ثلاثة أشهر بإنشاء مقالة جديدة عن الإذاعي الشهير " فائز مقدسي" والذي عمل لسنين طوال في "إذاعة مونت كارلو الدولية"؛ والآن لا أجدها.
