Importance
In the past, this minaret was part of a large mosque, but the mosque was demolished and only this minaret remained. This mosque was not only for prayer, but it was also a scientific institution concerned with teaching Islamic sciences. This minaret is considered one of the double-headed minarets, such as the Al-Ghuri Minaret in Al-Azhar Mosque and the Mosque of Qani Bay This is what gave this minaret architectural importance because it is the only one of this type in the Delta region.
