Formé à l'Étoile Filante de Ouagadougou, il rejoint le Coton Sport en 2013. C'est là qu'il se révèle, y jouant la Ligue des champions de la CAF, et intégrant alors l'équipe du Burkina Faso.
Après avoir passé seulement une seule saison au Coton Sport, il rejoint le club égyptien d'Al Ahly suite à ses bonnes performances lors de la Ligue des champions de la CAF 20132. Palmarès En club

John Antwi Duku (born 6 August 1992 in Sekondi) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for the Egyptian League team Ismaily SC in Egypt as a Striker.[1][3] As at the end of the day two of the 2013–2014 Egyptian Premier League, Antwi was the leading top scorer with four goals.[4][5][6]

The footballing career of John Antwi begun with Dreams F.C. a Ghanaian club that competes in the third division of the league.[7] Whiles playing for Dreams F.C. he was invited to the 2010–2011 preseason training programme of Accra Hearts of Oak SC. The invitation was proved fruitful as his form showed by scoring five goals in seven friendly matches.[2][7] Sekondi Eleven Wise F.C.
Antwi begun his professional football career with Sekondi Eleven Wise in the Ghanaian coastal city of Sekondi in 2011.[7] After a year playing in the league he joined Ismaily in December 2012 on a five-year deal. He was purchased for two hundred and fifty thousand US$.[4] Egyptian Clubs Trials
The performances of Antwi earned him trials with Egyptian sides Al Ahly and Beni Suef Telephones before joining Ismaily.[1][4][7] Ismaily SC

عبد الله الشامي هو صحفي مصر شاب يعمل مراسلا لصالح قناة الجزيرة مباشر مصر الإخبارية قامت أجهزة الأمن المصرية باعتقاله في يوم 14 أغسطس 2013 أثناء قيامه بتغطيه أحداث الاشتباكات التي نشبت بين الأجهزة الأمنية ومناصري جماعة الإخوان المسلمين في محيط ميدان رابعة العدوية, وقد تم تقديمه للنيابة بتهم التحريض علي العنف ودعم جماعة الإخوان وقررت النيابة حبسه 15 يوم علي ذمة التحقيقات ثم تم تجديد الحبس الاحتياطي له عدة مرات من قبل النيابة العامة ولا يزال محتجزا حتي الآن علي ذمة التحقيقات. في يوم الإثنين 16 يونيو 2014 قرر النائب العام إخلاء سبيل “عبد الله الشامي” و12 متهم آخرين من المحبوسين على خلفية “فض اعتصام رابعة العدوية” لظروفهم الصحية، وذلك جاء بعد اعتقاله دون محاكمة لمدة 10 أشهر وإضرابه عن الطعام لمدة 140 يوم، ولكن إخلاء السبيل لم يعني إسقاط التهم الموجهة إليه، وهي “التصدي لقوات الأمن خلال فض الاعتصام الذي قام به أنصار الرئيس المعزول محمد مرسي بميدان رابعة العدوية“
