جون ليفيريت

كان جون ليفيريت (بالإنجليزية: John Leverett)‏ قاضيًا استعماريًا ودبلوماسيًا وتاجرًا وجنديًّا والحاكم قبل الأخير لمستعمرة خليج ماساتشوستس من 1673 إلى 1679. وُلد في إنجلترا في 7 يونيو عام 1616 وجاء إلى ماساتشوستس في سن المراهقة. وكان أحد كبار التُجار في المستعمرة وخدم في جيشها. وفي أربعينات القرن السابع عشر، عاد إلى إنجلترا ليقاتل في الحرب الأهلية الإنجليزية. وتوفي في 16 مارس عام 8/1679.
